Ariel J. Abelairas

I was born in Havana, Cuba in 1949 and have resided in the United States since 1961. I am married and the proud father of three beautiful children. I have lived in Sweetwater since November 1977.
I am a graduate of Memorial High School, West New York, New Jersey. I attended Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida, and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with a major emphasis in Accounting in 1973. My professional experience includes work as a Senior Accountant with Rodolfo Ortiz and Associates (1973-1975); Vice President of Finance with Aero Peru Airlines (1975-1978); President of Finance with Lineas Aereas Paraguayas (1978-1983); Owner and Operator of Abelairas Insurance Agency - Private Accountant & Tax Practice (1983 till Present).
I am an "Enrolled Agent" and therefore I am licensed to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.
I am a member of the "National Society of Tax Professionals".
I am a former member of the "Zoning Board" for the City of Sweetwater. Since May of 1999 I have been a Commissioner for the City of Sweetwater.
