Orlando Lopez
Orlando Lopez was born in Miami Beach, Florida in 1968, of Cuban immigrant parents and has two brothers and a sister. He has resided in the Miami-Dade area his whole life, and in the City of Sweetwater since 1999.
At the age of seventeen he graduated from Belen Jesuit Preparatory School in 1985 and subsequently attended
Miami-Dade Community College.
Orlando Lopez runs the daily activities of the family owned
and operated full service commercial printing company EconoGraphics since 1989. He has increased the sales of a once “mom & pop” shop to become one of the leading commercial printing firms in South Florida.
Commissioner Lopez is no stranger to public service. While in High School, he volunteered time at the Camillus House for
the homeless, and since then has worked on various charitable organizations to benefit the youth and elderly.
Shortly after he moved to the City of Sweetwater he decided to seek a position on the City Commission to help improve the community. He has sponsored various beautification and façade projects, and has worked very diligently with the City’s administration to update the City’s Land Development Code.
