Antero Espinosa has worked for the City of Sweetwater since 1996. In his current post as the Director of the Maintenance Department, his duties include handling flooding emergencies, overseeing repairs to the City vehicles, coordinating the City's road repair work, managing garbage and debris pick up service, and supervising the Maintenance Department team.

He is knowledgeable in auto mechanics, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing as well as in cooking for and coordinating large social events. His educational background is in engineering, having graduated from Miami-Dade Community College and studied engineering at Florida International and Florida Atlantic Universities before working for almost 30 years in the catering business.

Prior to joining the City of Sweetwater, Antero owned and managed a successful banquet hall and catering company for 20 years. Previously, he owned a cafeteria restaurant, worked as Catering Supervisor for Key Biscayne Hotel & Villas and as a Banquet Supervisor for the D'Lido Hotel.

He has two children, Suzette and Yvette, with his wife, Daisy, of 26 years.
